Description: |
DFMO Hydrochloride is a specific irreversible inhibitor of ornithine decarboxylase, which shows antiapoptotic, antiparasitic, and antiangiogenic activity. DMFO Hydrochloride also suppresses polyamine biosynthesis. Studies on mice indicate that DMFO Hydrochloride suppresses the liver metastasis in the KKLS gastric cell line. DFMO Hydrochloride is also used as an inhibitor of putrescine synthesis catalyzed by ornithine decarboxylase. In addition, DFMO Hydrochloride suppresses the acrosome reaction in human sperm, which can be reversed by putrescine |
