Applications: Labeled melamine. The compound forms synthetic resins with fomaldehyde which produces thermosetting plastic used in Formica, laminate flooring, and dry erase boards. Malamine foam is used as insulation, soundproofing material and in polymeric cleaning products. The compound is also a major component of Pigment Yellow 150.
